Purpose

To establish and lead Valliance's Palantir practice, delivering transformative decision intelligence solutions for enterprise clients whilst building world-class technical capability within our team. You will be the bridge between Palantir's powerful platform and our clients' most critical business challenges, creating lasting partnerships that drive measurable outcomes and sustainable value.

This role demands both technical mastery and strategic partnership - you'll architect and deliver production-grade implementations whilst educating clients and colleagues on the art of the possible. You'll be instrumental in shaping how European enterprises leverage Palantir to make better decisions, faster.

CTO/Technical Partner, with dotted line to CEO for strategic initiatives

Travel:
Occasional European client travel expected; frequency depends on client locations and engagement phases

Key Accountabilities
1. Client Delivery & Value Realisation
  • Lead end-to-end Palantir implementations from discovery through to production deployment, taking ownership of technical architecture decisions and implementation quality

  • Design and deliver high-impact bootcamps that prove value quickly, converting sceptics into advocates through compelling demonstrations of the platform's transformative potential

  • Navigate complex enterprise environments to identify and prioritise use cases that deliver the highest business value, working from first principles to understand true organisational needs rather than stated requirements

  • Drive adoption by embedding yourself with clients, understanding their "physics" and building solutions that feel native to their organisation

  • Own the technical relationship with key accounts, managing multiple concurrent implementations whilst maintaining strategic perspective on long-term partnership opportunities

2. Team Building & Knowledge Transfer
  • Rapidly upskill Valliance's engineering team on Foundry, transforming smart generalist engineers into proficient Palantir developers within weeks

  • Build and mentor a team of technical lieutenants who can deliver to your quality standards, creating leverage whilst maintaining excellence

  • Develop repeatable training programmes, documentation, and best practices that accelerate onboarding and reduce dependency on individual expertise

  • Share battle scars openly - teach the team not just what works, but what fails, when to use Palantir vs alternatives, and how to navigate the platform's complexities

  • Act as technical coach to 2-3 team members in Valliance's coaching model, guiding their growth in Palantir capabilities and career development

3. Strategic Partnership & Commercial Excellence
  • Articulate Palantir's value proposition to C-suite audiences, translating technical capabilities into business outcomes they care about

  • Navigate commercial objections with confidence, addressing cost concerns through outcome-focused conversations that quantify value delivered

  • Support business development by participating in pitches, scoping engagements, and demonstrating technical feasibility of ambitious proposals

  • Build long-term strategic relationships with client leadership, becoming their trusted advisor on digital transformation beyond individual projects

  • Contribute to Valliance's outcome-based pricing model by defining measurable success criteria and monitoring value realisation throughout engagements

4. Technical Excellence & Innovation
  • Push the boundaries of what's possible with Foundry, encountering and solving the failure modes that arise at enterprise scale

  • Maintain deep product knowledge through continued engagement with Palantir's product team and partner ecosystem (where you have access)

  • Build Valliance's "accelerators" - generalised patterns, ontology templates, and reusable components that compress delivery timelines for future clients

  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions about when to use Palantir vs alternative approaches, protecting both client and Valliance interests

  • Stay current with AIP capabilities and agentic workflows, experimenting with cutting-edge features whilst maintaining production stability

Profile
Experience & Skills
  • 5-8+ years as Palantir focussed Forward Deployed Engineer with demonstrable progression to enterprise leadership roles or complex technical implementations

  • Enterprise-scale battle scars - you've worked on implementations large enough to trigger multiple failure modes, ideally at companies where Palantir has become mission-critical (reference examples: major aerospace, mining, insurance, healthcare systems, or government programmes)

  • Deep Foundry technical expertise across the full stack: Pipeline Builder, Ontology, Workshop, OSDK, Code Repositories, Actions, and AIP/agentic capabilities - you can build production-grade applications not just prototypes

  • Production deployment experience including performance optimisation, data pipeline architecture, permissioning at scale, audit requirements, and operational maintenance

  • Proven bootcamp and education delivery - you've designed and run multi-day workshops that convert sceptical stakeholders into enthusiastic adopters

  • Strategic account management experience, ideally having owned or co-owned relationships with major clients where you balanced immediate delivery with long-term partnership development

  • Product team exposure - you've pushed Palantir's boundaries enough to need product team support, influenced roadmap decisions, or deeply understand platform limitations and workarounds

  • Client-facing excellence - you can credibly represent Valliance to C-suite audiences, articulate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, and maintain composure when pilots fail

  • Team leadership and mentoring capability, with evidence of successfully upskilling others on Palantir or building technical teams

  • Value delivered and realised - The implementations you lead generate measurable ROI for clients that significantly exceeds Palantir license costs, enabling Valliance to capture meaningful value share and justify our outcome-based pricing model

  • Team capability multiplication - By end of year one, you've upskilled 4-6 Valliance engineers to delivery-ready proficiency in Foundry, with at least 2 able to lead client implementations with minimal oversight from you

  • Accelerator library built - You've identified patterns across 3-4 initial clients and built reusable ontology templates, integration patterns, or application frameworks that compress future delivery timelines by 30-50%

  • Internal Palantir evangelist - Colleagues across Valliance (not just tech team) understand ontology, decision intelligence, and platform capabilities well enough to have intelligent client conversations because of your education efforts

  • Long-term partnerships established - Initial clients sign multi-year engagements rather than exiting after first use case, with clear roadmaps for expanding Palantir's footprint across their organisation

  • Commercial pipeline contribution - Your credibility and demonstrations in client meetings contribute to winning 2-3 major deals in year one, with your technical validation being cited as a key factor in client decision-making

  • Sustainable delivery model - You've built enough team capacity and documented enough knowledge that you're no longer a single point of failure - you can take holiday without client delivery grinding to a halt

  • Strategic insights surfaced - Your client work identifies adjacent opportunities (education, agentic quick wins, multi-year transformation programmes) that feed Valliance's growth across all service pillars

  • Professional growth trajectory - You're actively working toward partner-level responsibilities, participating in strategy discussions, contributing to hiring decisions, and being entrusted with P&L accountability for the Palantir practice
