Valliance continues to grow, and today we're delighted to welcome James Braund to the team.

James joins us as a Value Engineer with 15 years building production-grade ecommerce platforms, bringing a rare depth of engineering experience across the full stack. He was Games Workshop's first eCommerce Architect, scaling their platform from inception and keeping it stable through extreme traffic spikes during product launches — the kind that expose every weak point in an architecture instantly.

At Capital One, he built multi-region customer identity systems supporting first-party authentication and Open Banking integrations in heavily regulated environments, where reliability and compliance are non-negotiable. At Cabiri, he served as Lead Engineer and Software Architect on composable commerce programmes for major retailers, translating technically complex possibilities into clear, tangible business outcomes.

His technical range spans AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps through to payments integration across Stripe, Adyen, and Cybersource, automated testing, and frontend development. At Valliance, he's focused on building reusable engineering foundations that deliver lasting value for clients.

James is a strong advocate for ethical AI, believing sustainable adoption means keeping humans in the loop and ensuring technology genuinely benefits the people it touches.

We're thrilled to have him on board. Watch this space.
