Jodh Badyal
Value Engineer
A data and AI engineer who's helped shape some of the UK's most demanding public sector programmes, from NHS England's Federated Data Platform to Ministry of Defence enterprise architecture. He pairs deep Palantir Foundry expertise with the commercial instinct of a Chartered Accountant. Now at Valliance, he's turning complex, underused data into systems that hold up under operational pressure.
He started in financial services audit at KPMG, learning early how expensive bad data can be, then moved into technology consulting where that precision found a much larger canvas. As Palantir Foundry team lead in KPMG's Modelling team, he ran internal upskilling and POC development whilst leading the team's most technically demanding builds. His instinct is to embed, learn the domain, and ship solutions that work in production rather than impress in a workshop.
Built a combinatorial optimisation engine in Palantir Foundry to automate NHS England diagnostic imaging scheduling
Delivered the prototype Frailty Digital Twin for NHS England in Palantir Foundry using Python, simulating patient pathways to inform optimisation
Engineered the data solution for a Ministry of Defence enterprise portfolio management platform, advancing it with NLP to enrich datasets and reporting
Directed systems assurance over NHS Scotland systems processing c.£2 billion in transactions annually, remediating integrity issues and strengthening governance
Produced an end-to-end data transformation roadmap for Reclaim Fund Limited covering target architecture, governance and AI adoption strategy
