Content & AEO Executive
London
Full time
As our Content & AEO Executive, you own how Valliance shows up in search and in AI answers. You run the groundwork, shape the content that earns us a place in the answer, and curate Compass, our weekly thought-leadership programme for the team and our clients. You write and edit across articles, sector pages, nurture sequences and social, using AI models every day for research and drafting, with your own editorial judgement as the final check.
To apply, email careers@valliance.ai with the job title in the subject line, along with your CV and any relevant links. No recruiters at this time please.
About the role
We're an AI-native company, and more of our buyers now find us through AI answers as well as search. You'll own our organic visibility across both. That means answer-engine optimisation (AEO), the SEO groundwork underneath it, and the content that earns us a place in the answer.
You'll also be the editorial eye behind Compass, our thought-leadership programme which we're also extending to clients. Each week you'll help decide what we bookmark, what we say about it, and what is worth putting in front of the team and our clients.
This role suits someone with a keen editorial eye, who writes well, thinks in evidence, and enjoys working with AI models to research, draft and test. You'll join a small marketing team and work alongside a paid media colleague, with clear ownership of organic content.
What you'll do
Own our organic search and AEO approach. Run SEO gap analysis, turn it into content targets, and reshape page content so it works for traditional search and for AI answers.
Judge visibility on real-world signals such as search data, site analytics, referrals and enquiries. Treat AI tracker tools and our tracked-prompt list as one signal, and challenge scores that look inflated.
Curate Compass each week. Capture the right stories, write a short note on why each one matters, and propose what is worth discussing, with particular attention to the sectors we're targeting.
Write and edit content, including articles, sector pages and the copy for our HubSpot nurture sequences, shaped to what our target audiences want to read.
Help us draft content for social channels such as LinkedIn, turning our articles, expert views and Compass stories into posts that fit each channel and audience.
Work with our Partners and the wider team to turn expert views, client themes and media coverage into content that earns citations.
Report on what is working in plain English, and use it to decide what we write next.
Share what organic search tells us about audience language and demand with our paid media colleague, and take their paid learnings into your content planning.
Use AI models every day for research, drafting and analysis, with your own editorial judgement as the final check.
What we're looking for
At least 1–3 years' experience in content marketing, SEO or digital marketing, ideally in B2B.
A strong editorial eye. You can spot the story, write it cleanly in UK English, and edit other people's drafts.
A working grasp of SEO fundamentals and the tools behind them, such as Search Console and web analytics.
An analytical mindset. You test claims, ask where a number came from, and prefer evidence to guesswork.
Curiosity about how AI search and answer engines work. You don't need prior AEO experience, as this field is new for everyone.
At home with AI tools. You've used AI models for real work, you know their limits, and you keep testing what else they can do.
Comfortable juggling several content streams and agreeing priorities with the team.
Based in the UK, ideally in London, and happy to spend at least one to two days a week working with us in our London office.
Nice to have
Experience writing about the technology sector.
Familiarity with HubSpot CRM, including email and sequence copy.
Knowledge of structured data and technical SEO basics.
Experience curating or writing a newsletter, digest or thought-leadership programme.
Why Valliance
We're a diverse group of people with hungry curiosity, always learning and sharing what we know. Being AI-native isn't a line on our website, it's how we work day to day. You'll be given real ownership from day one, room to test ideas and tools, and a team that wants to hear your analysis, not just your activity.
How to apply
Send your CV and two pieces of writing you're proud of, along with a short note on how you'd judge whether a piece of content was working, to careers@valliance.ai
